Basic workshop I Tjing
Discover the I Ching and learn to understand and consult the book.
The I Ching shows us that the world is a dynamic, closely connected whole. We will work with the I Ching in an accessible and practical way. Based on the philosophy and the classification of the I Ching, we will really consult a book full of wisdom. We learn to communicate with the I Ching. We learn by doing and we transform knowledge into wisdom.
In the basic workshop we take three steps.
The first step is the necessary basis with sufficient examples to see how valuable the I Ching is for the modern (spiritual) person. The second step is practicing and experiencing. The third step is deepening and broadening based on practicing.
Donny Toebes learned the I Ching from the source, the Chinese masters. The I Ching is one of the ‘advisors’ for Donny, both privately and at Hanmeda and the Universals. Anouchka de Vries uses the I Ching as a coach and business coach.
The learning objectives in a row:
- understanding what the I Ching is
- being able to ask questions to the I Ching
- being able to present situations to the I Ching
- understanding and applying the hexagrams
- gaining experience with different methods
In order to understand and apply the I Ching well, we divide learning and practicing over the entire year. After the basic workshop, participation in the I Ching study group is a valuable step.

Studygroup I Tjing
Deepen, experience, discover and share.
The goal of the study group is deepening, sharing, experiencing and discovering. Basic knowledge of the I Ching is therefore important. To participate in the study group, you must first do the basic I Ching workshop.
In order to understand, experience and apply the I Ching even more, we divide the study group over the entire year. The study group is therefore an excellent opportunity to work with the I Ching yourself and discover the possibilities to help others.
We have four meetings and one practice sessions. Donny and Anouchka discuss a current or suitable topic at each meeting. The practice afternoon has no themes, but we practice together. At the end of the meeting, we jointly choose the next date that we meet.
A low investment of 119 euros for the entire year makes it possible to work on yourself.
